Moor Motherがニュー・アルバム『Jazz Codes』を7月1日に〈Anti-〉からリリースする。
Moor Motherはペンシルベニア州フィラデルフィアを拠点に詩人、活動家としても活動するCamae Ayewaによるプロジェクト。昨年はアルバム『Black Encyclopedia of the Air』のリリースに加えて、フリージャズ・グループIrreversible Entanglementsとして『Open the Gates』をリリース、今年に入ってからもDJ Haramとのプロジェクト700 Blissで『Nothing to Declare』をリリースする等精力的に活動しているが、『Jazz Codes』にはそのIrreversible Entanglementsを始め、Mary Lattimore、Akai Solo、Fatboi Sharif、Yungmorpheus等が参加しているという。今回の発表にあわせてMelanie Charlesをフィーチャーした「Woody Shaw」のビデオが公開された。
